About Mason Valley
The Mason Valley is the perfect setting for MVR's Assisted Living Facility. It is known as Nevada's "Garden Spot" for its pasturage along the Walker River and its ability to produce barley, potatoes, alfalfa, onions and garlic.
With a population of 2800 within the city limits, Yerington is the largest of the four nearby communities. A total of 11,000 residents live in the Mason Valley.
This is smog-free country, with the Pine Nut Mountains to the west and towering Mt. Grant to the east.
Over 300 days of sunshine prevail in the Mason Valley. Snowfall is minimal and when it does snow it rarely stays on the ground more than one day. This is a friendly climate with a blossoming springtime, cool summer nights and a golden fall. Some say this area is one of Nevada's best kept secrets.
